WordPress is a great piece of software that is not only used for blogging, but also for making normal websites. In this video I explain the difference between hosting your blog or website on wordpress.com or on your own server (= called wordpress.org, because you download the software from that website).

Sometimes you do not want to show any teasers inyour specific Thesis Theme. But how to turn them of and show – let say only 3 fully featured posts on the homep page of your blog? Well that is actually pretty easy. The first thing you need to do is to go into Thesis Theme options and click on “Home Page Display”. Select the number of featured post you want to show on home (for example 3).

Then go to the general settings in your WordPress blog and select “Reading Settings”. Here you can enter the amout of Blog posts you want to show on you …you guessed it…Home Page!

Make that also 3 posts. This way you have your general WordPress settings and you Thesis Theme WordPress setting “in sync”.
